I am preparing lo leave Osaka and want to briefly share that my experience in Japan was incredible. To start the venue was in a modern expansive conference center located in a serene green area on the hills near Kyoto.<\/div>\n

The program was well organized — nice website to locate activities and find information (about 12 simultaneous 1 hour sessions, six times per day). The exhibit was well laid-out, and I had the chance to visit Japanese manufacturers, and the the inventor of a syringe pump calibrator. I think my presentations were the only ones not in Japanese and I saw an attentive audience. Jun can tell us how it went.<\/div>\n

We in the US could learn more about how to make a guest feel well cared for. Jun and his team were very gracious and took me around town to enjoy delicious meals and meet interesting and important people.<\/div>\n

After the conference I have had very engaging meetings, first with Tokyo University of Technology professor Kohei Tanaka, and the subsequent days I met clinical engineering teams and leaders at the Hyoho College of Medicine Hospital, and Osaka University Hospital (CE Director and Risk Manager Satoru Noguchi). Atsuko, my hostess for the last three days –and interpreter, was just fabulous. She is quick-witted, swift with technical content, and articulate.<\/div>\n
